The awareness of Colombians about the need to consume healthy food and the work done by manufacturers to expand and strengthen their offer of this type of product provides good results. This is the panorama.
A 12% increase has been registered in the sales of healthy products in Colombia in the last year, according to data from the Nielsen Healthy World Study of 2018, in which, in addition, it is determined that this group of products represents 7% of the industry of food and beverages.
It is clear that Colombians are increasingly aware of the relationship between their consumption habits and their health as a result of the confluence of several factors: greater regulatory effort on the part of the State, more informed consumers and greater offer at the point of sale of products with healthy characteristics.
